Reflections on Lent: Surroundings

"What I ask what inspires me; it's the people I surround myself with..."

"The hard work is to decide what do I want to be inspired about...how am I going to set up a schedule of work or an idea to bring about something so it keeps my mind and my heart focused on that."

"I think it's important to stay inspired to keep yourself informed. To surround yourself and immerse yourself in the knowledge about issues you care about and also about the people they are affecting."

Often our culture bombards us with images that tell us we do not have enough, that we are not enough. But this is a lie. We have enough, we are enough - not because of us but because of Christ. In fact, "my cup runneth over" so how will I pour those things out - share myself, my resources, and my talents in a way that give back and give glory to God.

This week I will surround myself mentally with only books and blogs that teach me about these issues, that teach me about myself, and reflect the hope and glory about God.
