Prayers for Today

 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, 

so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, 

what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

Isn't this all our prayer? That we may know His purpose and direction in our lives and for our future?

Our lives are like this picture -- starting in a random mound of sand with a million possibilities and options. But out of the random mess comes one straight path; a path that includes on set of steps -- the Lord's!

Will you follow?

So here's the prayer for today:

i thank You God for most this amazing
day:for the leaping greenly spirits of trees
and a blue true dream of sky; and for everything
which is natural which is infinite which is yes

(i who have died am alive again today,
and this is the sun's birthday; this is the birth
day of life and of love and wings: and of the gay
great happening illimitably earth)

how should tasting touching hearing seeing
breathing any--lifted from the no
of all nothing--human merely being
doubt unimaginable You?

(now the ears of my ears awake and
now the eyes of my eyes are opened)
